You Cleaned a Velour Car Seat with WHAT?!?
When a brand new yellow rain poncho faded onto my mom's driver seat of her beloved '06 Chevy TrailBlazer, I resorted to an old time-tested household hack to tackle the cleaning job. I used something you all probably have in your medicine cabinet or bathroom pantry. Watch me take it on with ease. (I huff and puff a little, but that's because I'm out of shape.)

A production of Peter Schmidt's 2013-14 Creative Writing class at Paw Paw High School in Paw Paw, West Virginia. Written by my daughter Michaela, who played the part of the evil villainess Buni, and who also was responsible for the post-production video editing. Special appearance by Peter Schmidt who plays the part of "Groovy P."
Bill Arnold-"Middle America"

Bill asked me on Christmas Day 2012 to make him a video for this song which originally appeared on his 2003 album "One Lucky Man." The song evokes strong images of Anytown, USA by itself without the aid of visuals. So, having said that, this was one of those videos that was easy to make. And Bill was great inspiration to get back on the controls after 19 months of not having uploaded anything n...

Drum Cover-"I'd Rather Be Dead" by Harry Nilsson

My performance of Harry's classic track from his 1972 "Son of Schmilsson" album, recorded at the 2011 Annual Paw Paw Community Talent Show held at Paw Paw High School, Paw Paw, WV, March 27, 2011.
Nilsson vs. Nixon-"Also Sprach Schmilsson Schmixon" (1974)
Переглядів 3,7 тис.13 років тому
A rare mashup from 1974 that was released to radio only, featuring Harry Nilsson's "Abduction of Count Down" scene from his movie "Son of Dracula" and parts of Richard Nixon's first Watergate speech from April 30, 1973. I edited the clip to go along with the track. Many thanks to everyone at the "For the Love of Harry" Blogspot website for making this rare track available.
Harry Nilsson-"Duit On Mon Dei" 1975 TV Commercial
Переглядів 15 тис.13 років тому
Harry made a bet with the powers-that-be at RCA that he could make a great TV commercial for his new album for less than $5,000. According to video producer Stanley Dorfman (who also worked with Harry on his BBC special "The Music of Nilsson" and directed his 1984 video, "Loneliness"), Harry spent the night in the studio working on his "Duit On Mon Dei" album and went from the studio straight t...

Reposted from an earlier post that included the 2 clips from the animated movie "The Point!", which included "Think About Your Troubles" and "Are You Sleeping." I reposted it to avoid having this video blocked in Germany. The movie "The Point!" can be viewed here on UA-cam and downloaded in its entirety from the "For the Love of Harry" Blogspot website. This acoustic version is delivered with m...
Harry Nilsson-"1941" (1971) (7/7)
Переглядів 64 тис.13 років тому
The closing number from Harry's BBC TV special from 1971, taking another number from his critically-acclaimed 1967 album "Pandemonium Shadow Show" which was characterized by many autobiographical references, most notably in the first two lines of the song.
Harry Nilsson-"Without Her/Coconut" (1971) (6/7)
Переглядів 17 тис.13 років тому
Part 6 of Harry's BBC TV special from 1971. Harry pulls one out from his 2nd album from 1967, "Pandemonium Shadow Show," the album that got him noticed by the Beatles, and pairs it up with one that went Top 10 in 1971.
Harry Nilsson-"Life Line" (1971) (4/7)
Переглядів 195 тис.13 років тому
Harry's slowed-down acoustic reading of this track which first made an appearance on his animated movie "The Point!" and the accompanying soundtrack is much more somber and just as powerful. Personally, my favorite version of all the versions of this song I've ever heard, and one of my all-time faves from Harry.

Переглядів 271 тис.13 років тому
Part 3 of Harry's BBC TV special from 1971, "The Music of Nilsson." This one is dedicated to all those music writers who ever dissed Harry for not giving proper credit to his "wonderful backup singers." He features his backup singers on this fun medley.
Harry Nilsson-"Gotta Get Up" (BBC-1971) (2/7)
Переглядів 645 тис.13 років тому
Harry's 2nd number from his wonderful BBC television special from 1971. "Gotta Get Up" is the opening number from his smash album from that same year, "Nilsson Schmilsson," and was one of many songs he wrote about starting a new day after a late night, a subject which he apparently knew a lot about.
Harry Nilsson-"Mr. Richland's Favorite Song/One" (1971) (1/7)
Переглядів 165 тис.13 років тому
The opening to Harry's wonderful TV special, "The Music of Nilsson," he taped for the BBC in 1971. The performances on this TV special showed Harry at his best, performing slower, more moving renditions of his best songs to date, back when his voice was only colored by brandy and cigarettes (and maybe an acid trip or two). The two songs here first made their appearance on Harry's 1968 album (an...
"19sai"-Suga Shikao ("xxxHoLic" Season 1 Theme-Full Length Version)
Переглядів 38 тис.13 років тому
The Japanese animated series "xxxHoLic" has become my newest obsession. The anime centers around Kimihiro Watanuki, a paranoid, yet good-hearted orphaned teenaged boy who is plagued by spirits who have a strong attraction to him. In his desperation, he is drawn to the home of Yuko Ichihara, a fortune teller and granter of wishes, and her companions, twin sisters Moro and Maru. Watanuki's wish i...

We all miss you here now mr Keith Whitney ❤🎉😢
I didn't know he was also that good on piano
Day in the Life? I think so....
Now I know why Lennon loved Harry so much - he's just like McCartney.
What a great singer.
Sei molto bella!
2 great voices
❤ can't beat this song😂 my in-laws and my brother 💖
I so love this song... I bump it everyday
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town? One of the best lines in all of songwriting.
❤
One of the best country western singers that I have heard lesson to his cds quite often pity about his death his memories will live on for yours
Perfection and one of my favorite songs of all-time
My gosh thank you so much for all the keith whitley love and music that you share with us!!❤
Frida singing live, no playback. What a voice!
Anyone in 2024?
My ribgtone is pov waltz. Its excellent

The greatest duet that NEVER happened!
According to Wikipedia, Högertrafikomläggningen was 1967-9-3.
Music is a gift from God. Nobody could figure out how to make such a beautiful sound.
So good 😢but overlooked his talents
Super sad I truly believe that his wife loved him very much but the drinking got in the way of a marriage that could have last for ever sad to say !
I don't understand why people put Keith Whitley on a Pedestal, Yes he could sing anything, but if you haven't listened to "George Jones, Merrill Haggard, Randy Travis, Waylon Jennings, Josh Turner, Sawyer Brown", I could go on & on, They ALL sing Pure Country as Keith did! You are Disrespecting all these other Great Singers!! It's sad he had a huge Devil of Addiction, Have any of you read & watched interviews with Lorri on how bad Keith was, drinking her beauty products, Hair spray, whatever had alcohol in it. Keith just could not beat, or didn't want too. but ALL of us have some form of addiction, Thankfully it doesn't kill us as fast as Keith went down. I Praise all those who had bad addictions & WON the Battle. May God Continue to Help all of us in NEED!!!
I'm still listening in 2024 and will be till I die.
Been "strumming with" him since early 70s. Still here!!!
❤💯👩❤️💋👨🙂🙏
Brilliant beyond words.
Beautiful song 🙌🙏💗
This álbum is just a jewel, and so Frida is!!
Why was he an alcoholic?
Why was he an alcoholic?
He is one of the greatest real country artists this world has ever heard. ❤ 😢
Oh, how I miss traditional country music
He was such a great vocalist greatly missed
I’m almost certain this was put together by some engineers at the old KYCW Young Country 96.5FM in Seattle. I knew most of the DJ’s there back in the 90’s.
Actually, it was Mike Cromwell at WMIL in Milwaukee. Details are in the description. Thanks for stopping by!
I had this as the B side of Without You on a 45rmp Vinyl
Awesome.
I love this so much. I listen to it no matter how many times it comes out. ❤😢❤
Tied for greatest country vocalist of all time with George Jones. Waylon Jennings is right behind em.
I always thought Billy Joel wrote this song, great song by the way
No airplay for this kind of music today unless it's college radio or some small independent (are they still out there?) Just those over repeated tune lists generated by some algorithm that play all week...heaven forbid there should be a DJ with music knowledge and a personality who digs up all kinds of good tunes from a variety of genres. Oh well. that's the price of homogenized mediocrity, when marketing and not soul is the driving force in entertainment... marketing has always been there, but the soul used to be a lot more present.
One of the greats
Анни-Фрид просто дива!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a Great Song!!
One hot redhead that can definitely sing
Reba tears my heart out with this song and I have to hear it every now and then so as to conjure up memories of better times~!!!!!
